In Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka JR., the reclusive and eccentric candy maker Willy Wonka offers a once-in-a-lifetime tour of his secret factory to five lucky children who find a golden ticket hidden inside one of his famous candy bars. Among them is Charlie Bucket, a kind-hearted child from a humble family who embarks on an unforgettable journey through a world of pure imagination. Alongside fellow Golden ticket winners — the spoiled Veruca Salt, gluttonous Augustus Gloop, gum-obsessed Violet Beauregarde, and screen-addicted Mike Teavee — Charlie encounters magical sights, marvelous confections, and important life lessons along the way.

Theatre Etiquette

Below you will find a basic set of rules on how to act within all theatres when attending live performances!

· Turn off your cell phone or, if it must be on, put it on vibrate. Do not speak on the phone during the performance. If you must call the person back, do it outside during intermission or after the show has finished.

· Pay attention to the announcements made prior to the show.

· Don’t speak during the performance…whispering is still speaking, so only do so in an emergency.

· Do NOT take pictures, video, or audio recording during the performance. It can be very distracting to the actors and is against copyright laws.

· Remain in your seat for the entire performance. If you must leave, exit during intermission. In an emergency, wait for an appropriate break in the show such as a scene change and/or blackout. It is rude to get up in the middle of a quiet moment as it can be very distracting to the actors and your fellow audience members.

· If you must have a cough drop, or something of that nature, do not make noise with the wrapper.

· Do not put or throw anything on the stage.

· Please laugh when the performance is funny.

· Please applaud when it is appropriate during the performance. This is usually after a song and after the completion of a scene.

· Please applaud at bows…this tells the performers and crew that you appreciate their work.

· Stand and applaud if you really thought the show was great.

· Most of all…ENJOY THE SHOW!
